Appointments and Consultations

All tattoo services are provided by appointment. Before scheduling, clients may be asked to provide clear photographs of the area to be tattooed, reference images, placement information, approximate size, and a description of the desired concept. This information allows Daniel Ruiz Art to evaluate the project and determine the estimated number of sessions required.

Pricing and Sessions

Tattoo services are generally priced by session rather than by the individual piece or hourly rate. A full-day session is currently $900 and typically lasts approximately 8–10 hours. The actual tattooing time may vary depending on the complexity of the project, placement, skin response, breaks, design adjustments, and other circumstances.

Large-scale tattoos, cover-ups, sleeves, and complex projects may require multiple sessions. Any estimate regarding the number of sessions required is an approximation and is not a guarantee.

Deposits

A $100 deposit is required to secure an appointment. The deposit is applied toward the final cost of the tattoo project unless otherwise agreed.

Deposits are refundable when an appointment is canceled at least 48 hours in advance or in the event of a legitimate emergency or exceptional circumstance, subject to reasonable evaluation. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, failure to attend the appointment, or significant last-minute changes may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Rescheduling and Cancellations

Clients who need to reschedule should provide as much notice as possible. Repeated rescheduling, late cancellations, or failure to attend an appointment may require a new deposit before another appointment can be scheduled.

Daniel Ruiz Art reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an appointment when necessary due to illness, emergency, safety concerns, or other circumstances that may prevent the tattoo from being performed appropriately.

Custom Tattoo Designs

Tattoo designs are created specifically for each client based on the information, references, placement, and artistic direction discussed during the consultation process.

Reference images are used for inspiration and communication purposes. Daniel Ruiz Art may modify concepts, composition, proportions, details, and other elements to create an original design appropriate for the client’s anatomy and the tattooing process.

Custom designs, sketches, concepts, and artwork created by Daniel Ruiz Art remain the intellectual property of their creator unless otherwise agreed in writing. Designs may not be reproduced, sold, distributed, or used by another tattoo artist without permission.

Design Changes

Reasonable design adjustments may be discussed before the tattoo begins. Major changes to the concept, placement, size, or subject matter may require additional design time and, when appropriate, rescheduling of the appointment.

Cover-Ups

Cover-up tattoos require individual evaluation. Results depend on factors including the size, color, saturation, location, age, and condition of the existing tattoo.

Multiple sessions may be necessary to achieve an effective result. While every reasonable effort will be made to obtain appropriate coverage, complete concealment of an existing tattoo cannot be guaranteed in every situation.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information relevant to the tattoo appointment and for following preparation and aftercare instructions.

Tattooing may be declined or postponed when circumstances make the procedure inappropriate or unsafe, including certain skin conditions at the tattoo site, intoxication, inability to provide valid consent, or other circumstances that could interfere with the procedure.

Clients must satisfy all applicable legal age and identification requirements before receiving tattoo services.

Health, Healing and Tattoo Results

Tattoo results and healing vary from person to person. Factors including skin type, placement, lifestyle, sun exposure, aftercare, individual healing, and adherence to aftercare instructions may affect the final appearance of a tattoo.

Clients are responsible for following the aftercare instructions provided following their tattoo session.

Photography and Portfolio Use

Photographs or videos of completed tattoo work may be requested for portfolio, website, or social media purposes. Where permission is required, such material will not be used for promotional purposes without the appropriate consent.
